Landmarks You Live By

1. Museum @ Eldridge - 12 Eldridge St.
Located next to one of our feature properties (9 Eldridge St), the synagogue was founded in 1887 and now is home to the history of the immigrants who transformed the LES. The Times calls it “Gasp-inducing”.
2. Germania Bank Building – 190 Bowery
Designed in the Renaissance Revival style, the building was originally home to one of the Germania Banks and has also served as a private residence. The six stories are surrounded by granite and have exquisite copper detail.
3. Ridley’s Department Store – 319 Grand St.

4. Beth Hamdrash Hagadol (Norfolk Street Baptist House)– 60 Norfolk St
This church was home to the Beth Hamdrash Hagadol congregation for over 120 years. The building was designed in the Gothic Revival Style and features brownstone.
5. Rivington Street Bathhouse – 326 Rivington Street
At a time where 1 in 79 familes owned a bathtub, bath houses were common around the city. The Rivington Street bathhouse was the first bathhouse established in the city. Although cemented over and apart of the Baruch Housing Projects, the Roman architecture still stands strong.
