Doing What’s Right: Helping Those Affected by the East Village Explosion

 

As businesses and residents in the East Village begin to repair and rebuild through the rubble, some of those affeced lost everything are in desperate need of resources and services. In times of tradegy, New Yorkers stick together and help each other get back on track. The explosion site was just blocks north of our office and it just feels right to provide our services complimentary to help our neighbors find a new home. 

 

Below are a list of organizations and business who are providing fundraisers, resources, and services to those who were affected by the explosion. We will continue to add to the list as we hear of them. 

 

Housing/Businesses

REAL New York is offering complimentary services to those who were affected. Contact us at info@realnyproperties.com 

Made in LES is offering a pop-up work space at 103 Allen St. for those businesses and individuals who were affected free of charge. More information here: http://www.madeinles.org/pop-up-co-working-hub/

Trash & Vaudeville is offering a free pair of Tripp NYC jeans to those with proof of address.

 

The Standard Hotel will have it’s doors open for victims to stay at the hotel for a few nights free of charge.

 

Food

Boulton & Watt is serving $5 East Village punch this weekends. Proceeds will go towards support for the victims.

Café Orlin is offering a free meal to displaced residents with proof of address.

 

Frank’s Restaurant is offering a free meal to those who were affected in the East Village. http://www.frankrestaurant.com/

 

Volunteering

LES Ready , a non-profit organization is looking for volunteers to help victims affected. More information here: http://lesready.org/

Donations
