Monday: What's Going On This Week?

Mondays aren't so bad with a high of 81 degrees. Here are some awesome events happening around the neighborhood.

1.     Youtube sensations Dude Perfect are coming to Tompkins Square Park this Monday to kick off the reconsutrction of Tompkins Square Park. Fun activities and prizes will be awarded. Check out their YouTube channel here:

2.     As noted in our last blog post, the month long celebration of the Essex Street Market has begun! There are tons of event collaborations with other Lower East Side organizations and a block party at the end! Full schedule of events here

3.     We. Love. Food…trucks. The 4th annual Village Voice foodtruck festival takes place tomorrow (May 5th). Ticketholders get access to 20 of NYC’s best foodtrucks and complimentary drinks.

4.     The Ashok Jain gallery is open from now until May 24th at 58 Hester Street (between Orchard and Ludlow). Exhibits from notable artists such as Gunther Borst, Susan Marx, and Lida van Bers. Definitely check it out!

5.     Check out the Fulton Stall Market at the South Street Seaport this weekend. Saturdays 10-5 and Sundays 10-4. Featuring vendors from all over NY and NJ.
