Foodie Friday: Ice Cream Social

Located in the heart of the Lower East Side, the weekly Hester Street Fair is a staple of New York City's many summertime offerings. Hester Street has historically housed the city's largest pushcart market in the early 20th century, and brings together a collection of NYC's best vendors in a bustling mix. Find artisinal food, vintage clothing, home goods, hand-crafted jewelry and other gems!
But this weekend, Hester Street Fair debuts on REAL New York's "Foodie Friday" post for its Ice Cream Social event on July 19 and 20. In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month (after all, what better time for the delicious frozen treat?) and the third Sunday of the month as National Ice Cream Day. Celebrate Ice Cream Day with Hester Street Fair next weekend, when a special lineup of scoops and flavors will be at your disposal!
