In the 1930’s, children began chanting “trick-or-treat” outside houses, but it wasn’t until the 1950’s that the candy industry really got involved with Halloween. In 2014, Halloween is all about who has the best costume and how much fun-sized packages of candy you can consume. A quarter of candy sales in the United States are from Halloween.
