In her previous career as an editor at the magazine Gourmet for twenty years, Hobby had a personal interest in residential real estate, having bought four apartments in New York and sold three of them. She always found searching for a new home exciting. Though a complicated process,she quickly became comfortable with the process of co-op buildings. Hobby has benefited from buying versus renting and enjoys helping others do the same. From her editorial days and as an English major at U.VA, she learned to communicate carefully and to pay attention to every detail, while always keeping the big picture in mind. Hobby also has experience with renovation, restoration, and redecoration and can help buyers envision the potential of a fixer upper!
