A New York City native with an accomplished financial background and unparalleled knowledge of the Manhattan landscape, Ian Chesnoff is known for his diligent work ethic and affable personality. Equally comfortable working with CEOs and creatives, Ian specializes in luxury condo/co-op sales and leasing in premier Manhattan neighborhoods such as the Upper East Side and Greenwich Village. Prior to entering real estate in 2010, Ian actively managed a portfolio of commodity futures, options and equities for over a decade. At home in a fast-paced industry as a trader, he came to value the importance of precision and timeliness — qualities that play an important role in serving his real estate clients today. Whether working with buyers, sellers, renters or landlords, his vast network of contacts throughout New York City provides an invaluable asset to his clientele. Over the years, Ian has built a thriving referral business by providing a complete VIP experience from relocation to remodeling, and has closed over 2,000 rental deals throughout Manhattan. Born and raised in Lenox Hill on the Upper East Side, Ian currently resides in the neighborhood, enjoying its proximity to Central Park and Museum Mile. His favorite neighborhoods, though, span the spectrum of Manhattan living — from NoLita and the West Village to his native Upper East Side — and he shares his lifelong expertise of each with his clients. A graduate of Binghamton University with a BS in Psychology and a concentration in music, Ian is an active funk drummer who does studio work, performs locally, and volunteers teaching percussion to children. He is also proficient in conversational Spanish.
